i-tri’s goal is to teach the girls that they are CAPABLE, STRONG, and WORTHY.

$10,000 goal

When I joined the Board of i-tri almost 3 years ago, I only had an inkling of how powerful this program is. Now I know and have seen it with my own eyes. The program literally changes lives. We have grown from 8 girls 9 years ago to over 130 last year. This year we will be adding two new schools to our program, thereby reaching over 150 girls in the upcoming year. THAT IS A LOT OF LIVES TRANSFORMED THROUGH OUR PROGRAM.

This is our 10 year anniversary and we have increased our fundraising goals to help us fund our transformation from a Long Island program to a national one. We have already begun the process of studying how we will do this with a strategic planning consultant.  In other news, our Founding Director, Theresa Roden, was just recognized by the International Triathlon Union with an Award of Excellence, representing the United States for this prestigious award for our contribution to the sport of triathlon through the training of athletes, raising of awareness and as a role model and source of inspiration for women and girls in the sport.

This is a critical and incredibly exciting time in the life of our organization and we need your help to make this a reality. I know you are asked to help out many worthy organisations all the time but I am putting i-tri out there as A VERY WORTHY CAUSE that deserves your attention, especially in these times when empowering girls to be strong confident women is so important. Once again, I am humbly asking you to contribute what you can to help me to reach my personal goal of providing ALL of the training, equipment and support necessary for FOUR girls to make it to the FINISH LINE this season and also in our journey of expanding to empower an even larger circle of girls! THANK YOU!!
